And Owner of my own store. I am just like you – someone who appreciates the beauty of fine fabrics and laces, of pretty dresses and boys button-on’s whether they are traditional heirloom garments or fun smocked frocks.

My first experience in this area was 32 years ago when my daughter, Erin, was born. Thanks to several good instructional books, I taught myself how to smock and how to do heirloom sewing on the machine. I was offered the opportunity to buy the stock from a lady who decided to close her store.  Being a "mom" first and foremost, my husband and I decided to build "The Little House" on our property so I could still be home with the children. That was in 1989. Unfortunately, the horrors of cancer struck my mother. With my father already passed on, during the last year of her life, I was with her more than with my own family, as my sisters and I decided we would care for her.  She left her pain and suffering behind in the year 2000. Not long afterwards I closed the Little House, it seemed my love and desire had left me.  With no more children at home, I got out and found a "job". I was at loose ends, but it wasn't long till I started missing my sewing. Jump to now and here I am with another store. This art, whatever it is , is truly a part of me.......I love what I do, I love to help others find their way. I thank my father for instilling in me "to make the garments as pretty on the inside as they are on the outside"....I thank my mom for her encouraging words to me and for leaving the way for me to do this......and I thank my family for understanding this is who I am......a creator, or designer of beautiful things.....Yes, I am truly blessed in this life............
